Isabella took a deep breath and stared up at the blue sky, saddened by today's thoughts.
Phineas and Ferb had decided for today's big idea to travel back to the future. Of course they had already done it, but they never got to really have a good look around. This time instead of going to the museum, they built their own time machine.
Isabella however, wasn't really in the mood, so she left the brothers alone to explore and wandered around by herself. Now she was at the park, lying on a bench and watching the clouds slowly pass by.
"Excuse me, do you mind if I sit here?"
Isabella shifted her gaze from the sky to the source of the voice. In front of her stood a woman dressed in a purple halter top and jeans with long black hair. Isabella tried to get a look her face, but it was covered by the hat she was wearing. "Um sure, no problem." she replied and sat up to make space for her.
The woman sat down next to her and breathed a small sigh. "Don't you think it's a great day?"
"Not for me it isn't…" Isabella mumbled quietly, however loud enough for the woman to hear. "Oh? What's wrong?"
"Oh it's nothing." Isabella flashed a weak smile, but the woman could see right through it. "I know you're lying."
"I-I don't wanna bother you with my problems."
"No really, I want to help."
Isabella gave up and began to talk. "Well…. Its this boy. We've been friends for a really long time, and I have these feelings for him. I've been trying to get him to notice me ever since but..."
"But what?"
Isabella continued. "But lately, I feel as if it's no use. I've tried so many times but he just doesn't seem to notice me, he just doesn't seem to care." She went back to laying down, resuming her mindless gaze at the clouds. "I'm almost convinced that he'll never see me as more than a friend."
After a few minutes of silence, Isabella was sure the woman was gone, considering she hadn't looked at her. But sure enough, she heard her voice. "My, that sounds troubling."
"You have no idea." Isabella groaned. Nonetheless, the woman flashed a smile. "You know, I was like you once."
Isabella sat up upon hearing this. "Really?"
The woman nodded. "Yes. When I was younger, I fell hopelessly in love with this boy. Oh, we were friends for a long time, but I always tried to get his attention, because I wanted us to be more. But you couldn't believe how oblivious he was."
"Trust me, it can't be as worse as Phi-" Isabella cut herself off. It wouldn't be a good idea to just throw his name around like that in the future.
"Anyway, I started to think I had no chance." the woman continued. "But I never gave up on him."
"Really? What happened?" Isabella asked.
The woman held out her hand, flashing a wedding ring "What do you think?" She replied with a giggle. "As it turns out, he really liked me too, but was always so nervous to tell me because he thought it might ruin our friendship. Maybe it's the same thing with you and this boy."
"I doubt it." Isabella mumbled, looking over at her. Even though she couldn't see them, Isabella could tell her eyes were looking straight into her own. " I don't even think he cares."
"Oh come on, you don't remember one time where this boy did something for you?" The woman asked.
Isabella tried to think. At first, she came up with nothing, but then a bunch of times popped into her head like the time Phineas tried to make a giant sundae for her, the time he and Ferb built the haunted house to get rid of her hiccups, the Rainbow-inator for when he thought she had never seen a rainbow before, the car wash to help her save the Star-nosed mole, and all of the other projects he and Ferb had done solely to help out her and the Fireside girls.
"Actually, now that I think about it, there are a bunch of them."
"You see? What does that tell you?"
Isabella smiled "You're right. I guess he really does care about me." The woman placed her hand on Isabella's." Tell me, do you really love this boy?"
"Yes. Yes I do." Isabella answered. "Well then, you cant just let this go! There's going to be times when you feel like you have no chance and want to give up, but if you truly love him like you say you do, then you just can't give up. Everything will work itself out in the end." The woman smiled again. "Trust me, I know what I'm talking about."
"Isabella!"
Hearing her name, Isabella turned to see Phineas and Ferb searching for her. "Um, I have to go." She gave the woman a hug. "Thank you... For everything."
"No problem." The woman replied.
Isabella left the park bench to rejoin her friends. "Hi guys!"
"Isabella, where have you been?" Phineas asked "I was staring to get worried."
"Oh, um… I've been here, just looking around." Isabella replied with a nervous giggle. Obviously, she wasn't going to tell Phineas that she had spent the last half-hour feeling depressed over him on a park bench." So... Are we going back home?"
He nodded. "Yup! Ferb, fire up the time machine!" While Ferb fiddled with the watch on his wrist, Isabella noticed something in Phineas's hand. "Hey Phineas, what are you holding?"
"Oh this?" Phineas held up what appeared to be a rose." I noticed that you hadn't really been yourself today and well… I thought this might cheer you up." Phineas handed Isabella the rose, who just stared at it, dumfounded. "Phineas…"
"I know it's not really all that great, but-"
Phineas was cut off by Isabella suddenly hugging him. "No… it's perfect." Isabella whispered. "Thank you." Surprised, Phineas simply returned the hug. "You're welcome. I'm just glad you're happy again. Now come on, we don't want Ferb to leave us here, do we?"
Isabella nodded and they turned to Ferb, who had the time portal open. Ferb stepped inside, while Phineas took Isabella's hand and led her through.
Once the time portal disappeared, a young man had arrived, and was standing next to the woman on the bench.
"Okay, here's your ice cream." He said, handing his wife a cone
"Finally!, where have you been? You left me here all alone!" The woman scolded.
"Hey, it was a long line!" The man defended. "By the way, who were you just talking to?"
"Oh, no one, just this little girl." The man simply shrugged and continued to eat his ice cream until he noticed her hat. "You gonna tell me what's up with the hat?" He asked.
"I like this hat, It makes me look cute."
The man reached over, "Maybe, but I can't see your even cuter eyes." and pulled the hat off to reveal her blue eyes and a lonesome red rose place in her hair. The sight of the rose put a grin on his face. "You actually still have that?"
The woman began to play with her hair. "Well... Yeah. You did give it to me."
"Yeah, 20 years ago!" He replied. "How did that rose survive for that long, Izzy?"
The woman leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Sorry Phin, but that's my secret."
Phineas chuckled and put his arm around her. "Hey, you think that rose is still around here somewhere?" He wondered.
Isabella smiled. "No…" she said, taking the rose out and twirling it in her fingers. "It's already gone."

I wake up from the sleep that I actually caught.
Isabella lay next to me on my pillow.
Huh, we must have fallen asleep together.
She was twisting and turning, but then she suddenly stops like her dreams woke up along with me.
I just notice that my neck was aching, probably because Isabella was on my pillow, clinging to it as if it was the key to her peace.
Isabella hasn't had peace for a while, not ever since her parents just recently die
